Moving Day
It's Moving Day, we're on our way;
We're packing up to go.
We'll vacate this lot for a new spot
For the next fortnight or so.
We're battening down our hatches,
And pulling up our stakes.
We'll stow our gear and get out of here
'Cause a new vista awaits!
In vans and cars and trailers,
We'll move on down the road.
We'll go where whimsy takes us,
As we live the wanderer's code.
Some of us will scatter,
And some will stick together.
But go or stay, come what may,
We wish them all fine weather!
We'll meet up again tomorrow,
Or maybe in the fall,
For when the road is beckoning
We have to heed the call.
