The Hill
There's a hill over there that needs climbing,
So a-climbing I will go!
And when I reach the summit,
I'll survey the land below.
Despite sun and wind and arthritis,
Though it make my old joints ache,
I'll summon my will, and surmount that hill!
I just hope I don't startle a snake.
And you know what?
I was right! That hill needed climbing,
For when I looked down aglow,
I saw a valley replete with a burgeoning fleet
Of friends I've come to know.
So if you're ever near a hillside,
And it's climbing you're thinking of,
I recommend the perspective
You can only get from above.
